Resolving incidents, managing changes, and optimizing systems to minimize disruptions to trading, payments, risk management, and client services. Driving transformation through automation, cloud adoption, AI/ML-driven support, and legacy modernization
Position Purpose
This position is for
Site Reliability Engineer
within Client Engagement and Financial Security APS team. The primary purpose is to be accountable for all
Core Engineering / Transformation
activities of CEFS APSAs Site Reliability Engineer, own the
end-to-end operational stability, resilience, performance, and continuous improvement
of
global, complex CIB applications
critical to
Client Engagement and Financial Security
. This role demands deep expertise in
Stake Holder Management, Platform Availability, IT Service Management (ITSM), automation and
drive
operational excellence, risk reduction, and cost efficiency
across a
multi-geography

Responsibilities
v Drive transformation strategies involving infrastructure hygiene / end of lifev Implementing new technologies or processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs eg:- CI/CD implementationv Automate away toil using a combination of scripting, tooling, and process improvementsv Monitoring system performance and capacity levels to ensure high availability of applications with minimal downtimev Investigating any service disruptions or other service issues to identify their causesv Performing regular audits of platforms to check for signs of degradation or malfunctionv Developing and implementing new methods of measuring service quality and customer satisfactionv Conducting capacity planning to ensure that new technologies can be accommodated without impacting existing usersv Conducting post-mortem examinations of failed systems to identify and address root causev Drive various Automation, Monitoring & Tooling common purpose initiatives across CEP APS and other teams within CIB APSv Accountable for generation, reporting and improvements of various Production KPIs, SLAs and dashboards for APS teamsv Accountable for improvements in services and presentations for Governances and Steering committeesv Accountable for maintenance and improvement of IT continuity plans (ICP)Technical & Behavioral Competenciesv Strong knowledge of Kubernetesv Strong knowledge of DevOps methodology and toolsetsv Strong knowledge of Cloud based applications/servicesv Strong knowledge of APM Tools i.e., Dynatrace etc.v Strong Distributed Computing and Database technologies skillsetv Strong knowledge of Jenkin, Ansible, Python, Scripting etc.v Strong knowledge of Service Management toolsv Good understanding of Log aggregators i.e., Splunk/ELKv Good understanding of observability tools i.e., Grafana / Prometheusv Ability to work with various APS, Development, Operations stakeholders, locally and globallyv Dynamic, proactive and teamwork orientedv Independent, self-starter and fast learnerv Good communication and interpersonal skillsv Practical knowledge of change, incident & problem management toolsv Innovative and transformational mindsetv Flexible attitudev Ability to perform under pressurev Strong analytical skills
