Senior Security Engineer, IAM (Identity Access Management)

Purpose of the Job

As members of 6sense's Security department, theGovernance, Risk and Compliance(GRC)teamalignsSecuritywith businessobjectiveswhile managing risks and meeting industrystandards,regulationsand contractual obligations.GRCenforcesgovernance, implementsrisk management strategies, and ensurescompliancethroughoperatingas the second line of defense.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Design and implement IAM solutions that align withtheZero Trust principlesofcontinuous verification, least privilege, andbreachassumption.

• Partnerwithsecurityarchitects to integrate identity as a core pillar ofzerotrustsecurityarchitecture.

• Manage theidentity lifecycle (provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews) across6sense production and corporate systems.

• Deploy,manage, andmonitorstrong authentication mechanisms

• Define and enforce fine-grained access control policies using RBAC models.

• Integrate identity telemetry with SIEM/SOAR tools to support real-time access decisions.

• Implement adaptive access controls based on user behavior, device posture, and risk signals.

• Design andmaintainPAMand SASEsolutions to secure access to critical systems and data.

• Deploy and enforce just-in-time (JIT) access and session monitoring for privileged accounts.

• Ensure IAMrequirements meetregulatory,contractualand organizational requirements

• Support audits bymaintainingdetailed access logs andevidenceof control effectiveness.

• Manage identity federation across internal and external entities using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.

• Evaluate, deploy, and maintain IAM platforms and tools

• Develop scripts and integrations to automate IAM processes and improve operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with SOC and IR teams to investigate identity-related incidents.

• Educate stakeholders on Zero Trust IAM principles and secure identity practices.

• Lead IAM-related security awareness initiatives across the organization.

• Execute on quarterly individual Key Results that support team Objectives (OKRs)

Performance Measurement

• Maintainsup-to-date knowledge of 6sense's product, environment,systemsand architecture

• Actively prepares forweekly 1:1s with Manager and monthly skip levels

• Drives remediation of security risks and threats

• Adheresto strict deadlinesand SLAs

• Participates in creationof milestones associated with major security projects

• Executes on milestones associated with major security projects

• Develops andmaintainsup to date handbook pages, runbooks,workflowsand dashboards

• Providesproject status update on weekly basis

Educational and Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience being part of a GRC or similar team

• 1+yearsof experiencedeveloping automation

• Experience withIAMsecurity toolsand cloudenvironments(e.g.,GRC,PAM,SASE, JIT/UAR, Okta,AWS)

• Experiencewithindustry frameworks,regulationsand standards, such as:NIST Zero Trust,ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI, SOX, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience withOkta andAWS IAM management

• Big 4 (KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, EY) or similar experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, are highly desirable
