Job Summary:

Senior Resident in Paediatrics

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide round-the-clock clinical care to paediatric patients admitted under the department, including NICU, PICU, and general paediatrics.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic paediatric conditions under the supervision of a consultant.
• Attend to paediatric emergencies and assist in stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency procedures.
• Document clinical notes, maintain patient records, and ensure timely communication with consultants and caregivers.
• Participate in daily ward rounds, case discussions, and academic sessions.
• Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as lumbar puncture, IV cannulation, and intubation as required.
• Liaise with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other departments to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and infection control practices within the department.
• Participate in departmental audits, CMEs, case presentations, and research activities.

Qualification & Experience:

• Educational Qualification:

  MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics from a recognized institution.

• Experience:

  Minimum 03 years post-MD/DNB experience in paediatric care (NICU/PICU experience preferred).
• Registration with the State Medical Council is mandatory.
