Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quantum algorithms for solving complex problems in various domains.
  • Analyze and optimize quantum circuits for specific hardware implementations.
  • Conduct research on quantum error correction and develop strategies to mitigate noise in quantum systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into broader systems and applications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in quantum computing and contribute to the company's intellectual property portfolio.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantum engineers and researchers.
  • Design and execute experiments to test and validate quantum technologies and theories.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on quantum computing.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in quantum engineering or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and quantum information theory.
  • Experience with quantum algorithms such as Grovers search, Shor’s algorithm, VQE, and QAOA.
  • Knowledge of complexity theory and the ability to reason about quantum vs. classical complexity classes.
  • Basic knowledge of different qubit technologies and hardware-specific constraints.
  • Familiarity with current limitations of NISQ devices and common noise mitigation techniques.
  • Proficiency with at least one major quantum SDK such as Qiskit (IBM) or Braket (AWS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex quantum concepts to a non-expert audience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Published research in quantum computing or related fields.
  • Experience with quantum simulation and modeling tools.
  • Contributions to open-source quantum computing projects.
  • Active participation in the quantum computing community through conferences, workshops, or collaborations.
