Senior QA Engineer, Automation

As a Senior QA Engineer, Automation working on a 6 - 12 months contract at Velsera, you will play a crucial role in accelerating the discovery, development, and delivery of life-changing insights in the field of medicine. Velsera, a collaborative effort between Seven Bridges and Pierian established in 2023, focuses on providing software and professional services in areas such as AI-powered multimodal data harmonization and analytics for drug discovery and development, IVD development, validation, regulatory approval, and clinical NGS interpretation, reporting, and adoption. Your responsibilities will include writing test automation scripts for back-end and front-end components, adhering to best practices and quality standards. You will also build tools, frameworks, and infrastructure to support test automation, review application requirements and technical specifications to define test specifications, and work as part of a cross-functional scrum team in agile development methodologies. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to team members, collaborate with the development team to address bugs, and continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies for enhanced efficiency. To excel in this role, you should possess over 5 years of experience in test automation, a degree in computer science, and a solid understanding of software development and test automation principles such as BDD and TDD. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coach other engineers and work collaboratively in a team. Experience in developing software in a regulated environment would be advantageous. Your technical skills should include proficiency in UI automation with Selenium, API automation with RestAssured, programming with Java, functional testing, and familiarity with testing frameworks, BDD frameworks like Cucumber, and build tools like Maven or Gradle. You should also have experience in integrating test automation with CI/CD pipelines and generating test execution reports.
