Role Overview Description About the Role: We are seeking a proficient Senior QA - Automation Tester with 4+ years of experience in automation testing and a strong background in framework development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in designing, building, and optimizing automation frameworks using TypeScript/JavaScript and tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar technologies. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products by integrating robust automation strategies into the development lifecycle. Roles and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automation frameworks tailored to project requirements. Demonstrate expertise in solving complex problems within the framework, ensuring optimal performance and reusability. Optimize existing frameworks by incorporating best practices and innovative solutions. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline. Develop and execute automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. Perform script debugging, issue resolution, and test execution analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage. Create reusable and modular scripts to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency. Exhibit strong coding proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Solve problem statements related to framework enhancements and automation challenges. Stay updated with the latest automation tools, techniques, and trends to ensure cutting-edge practices are employed. Document automation scripts, framework architecture, and test results with precision and clarity. Generate detailed defect reports, including root cause analysis, and provide actionable insights. Prepare periodic QA reports to highlight automation progress, metrics, and key findings to stakeholders. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to align testing efforts with project timelines. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure test coverage meets business and technical requirements. Provide quality-focused feedback early in the development lifecycle, including during requirement and design reviews. Identify areas for improvement in automation practices and processes, driving initiatives to enhance overall testing efficiency. Contribute to the development of team standards, guidelines, and best practices for automation testing. Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative Environment. Skills and Requirements: Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, with experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks. In-depth understanding of Playwright and any other automation tools and technologies such as Selenium or Cypress. Hands-on experience in integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve complex automation challenges. Familiarity with API testing and associated tools like Postman or RestAssured/Axios. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and test automation processes. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within cross-functional teams. Experience with version control systems like Git and test management tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure high-quality automation deliverables. Knowledge of performance testing tools is a plus. Self-driven and proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies relevant to automation testing.
