About the Role

Senior QA Automation & Performance Test Engineer

This role demands strong Retail POS domain knowledge, robust automation framework experience, and deep expertise in performance testing using JMeter or equivalent tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Testing

• Design and implement

  scalable automation frameworks

  for Retail POS (Register, Back Office, Central Office).
• Automate

  complex end-to-end retail workflows

  : sales, returns, promotions, inventory, settlements, reports, and data sync.
• Work with

  AI-powered test creation tools

  (Testim, Mabl, Functionize, Copilot-assisted scripts).
• Set up

  test data management

  , scheduling, failure recovery, and execution pipelines.
• Generate

  dashboards, logs, and analytics

  for automation health and coverage.

Load & Performance Testing

• Plan and execute

  load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing

  for retail store systems.
• Simulate

  large-scale retail load

  (1,000 stores & ~1M+ transactions/day).
• Identify bottlenecks across POS Register, Back Office, Central Office, METL, SymmetricDS, RMS/RPM/RTLog layers.
  
• Use

  JMeter, Gatling, Locust

  , or equivalent enterprise tools for performance testing.
• Provide detailed

  performance assessment reports

  with tuning recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6 - 9 years

  of QA experience with strong automation + performance background.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in

  Retail POS Testing

  .
• Strong in

  Selenium

  or equivalent automation tools for Chromium-based apps.
• Expertise in

  Performance/Load Testing

  with

  JMeter

  (or Gatling/Locust).
• Experience building

  custom automation frameworks

  , CI/CD integration, and execution pipelines.
• Knowledge of

  retail integration systems

  : RMS, RPM, RTLog, METL, SymmetricDS.
• Solid SQL experience;

  PostgreSQL

  preferred.
• Ability to handle

  high-transaction systems

  with concurrency and distributed load.

Good-to-Have

• Experience with Jumpmind POS
  
• Experience using

  AI-based automation platforms

• Exposure to distributed retail systems and store networks
