Senior QA Automation Engineer

As an experienced Automation Test Engineer with 6+ years of experience, you will play a crucial role in performing automation test activities for a major product platform implementation. Your responsibilities will include interacting with client stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring end-to-end coverage of functional testing. You will be tasked with implementing test automation frameworks to enable in-sprint test automation for UI as well as backend components. Your primary duties will revolve around functioning as the test automation engineer for the major product platform, ensuring the quality of the application under test. You should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to identify root problems and devise efficient, creative, and cost-effective solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for test planning, team coordination, monitoring and controlling testing activities, and communicating findings in both technical and user-friendly language. Your role will also involve participating in customer calls, requirement gathering exercises, sprint planning/grooming sessions, sprint reviews, and projects with in-sprint test automation. Proficiency in automation testing tools, particularly Cypress and TestRail, is essential for this position. You will work closely with customers and development teams to coordinate testing activities and ensure the accuracy of acceptance criteria within stories. Moreover, you will be expected to track quality metrics, report test progress to client stakeholders, and uphold agile and DevOps processes related to testing. Your client interfacing skills will be vital in understanding testing needs, defining test strategies, and enabling test automation to meet product requirements. Collaborating with the team, you will ensure that testing aligns with the sprint plan, test approach is followed, and risks are promptly raised and addressed. Your skills and competencies should include expertise in automation testing, implementation of test automation frameworks, functional and product testing experience, in-sprint test automation, UI and API-based test automation, as well as proficiency in test reporting and KPIs. Strong communication, interpersonal, and client interfacing skills are essential, along with the ability to innovate, learn new tools, and adhere to ISMS policies and procedures.
