Senior QA / Automation Engineer

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Cloudnaut, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our platform through embedding quality into every stage of development. Your responsibilities will include: - Building, scaling, and maintaining automated test frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, and the Page Object Model (POM). - Writing clean and reliable end-to-end, regression, and API tests using JavaScript/TypeScript. - Designing and executing test strategies across web and backend layers, including REST and GraphQL. - Integrating automated test suites into GitHub Actions for continuous testing and validation. - Collaborating with engineers to implement shift-left testing and ensure early QA involvement. - Identifying and closing test coverage gaps to enhance product stability and release confidence. - Managing test data, mocks, and stubs for distributed microservices. - Tracking and reporting quality metrics, test coverage, and automation health. - Contributing to QA best practices, peer reviews, and documentation. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 5 years of experience working as a QA and at least 3 years as a QA Automation engineer. - Proven expertise with Playwright, Selenium, and POM-based test architecture. - Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js testing frameworks. - Hands-on experience with API testing (REST, GraphQL) and mocking tools. - Familiarity with Docker, containerized test environments, and CI/CD pipelines. - Solid understanding of the testing pyramid and shift-left principles. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and fluency in English. Desirable skills for this role: - Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, Artillery. - Knowledge of security, contract, or snapshot testing. - Exposure to AWS or cloud-native microservices. - Contributions to open-source testing frameworks or tools. In addition, any exposure to AWS, performance/security testing, or open-source QA contributions would be considered a bonus.
