Senior QA Analyst- software testing

We are looking for an experienced QA Tester with proficiency in manual testing and a fundamental understanding of automation to ensure our software products maintain the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess manual testing experience, be detail-oriented, and capable of adapting to new testing methodologies, including automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing: - Conduct functional, regression, and integration tests based on test cases and test plans. - Perform exploratory testing to detect potential defects and usability issues. - Report and document defects, tracking their resolution. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, etc.) to comprehend requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Perform sanity checks to confirm the software meets user expectations and business requirements. Basic Automation: - Support in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for regression testing using basic automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, etc. - Understand and execute automation scripts to enhance test efficiency. - Collaborate with the automation team to enhance automation practices and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Test Documentation: - Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and test reports. - Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure adequate test case coverage for user stories, epics, and features. Collaboration and Communication: - Actively engage in scrum meetings, sprint planning, and retrospective sessions. - Work with developers to identify and resolve issues throughout all software development lifecycle stages. - Provide timely feedback and recommendations to enhance product quality and testing processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 3+ years of proven experience in manual testing and quality assurance. - Familiarity with basic automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, life cycle, and best practices. - Experience in writing and executing detailed test cases and test plans. - Ability to identify, document, and prioritize defects, along with proficiency in a defect management system like JIRA, TestRail. - Good grasp of version control and test environment management. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. - Experience with version control tools like Git. - Understanding of SQL for basic database testing. - Experience in Agile development environments.
