Overview

Outsourced Loan Origination System (LOS) Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Planning:

• Review and analyze updated

  System Requirements Specifications (SRS)

  , functional design documents, and technical specifications related to the LOS changes driven by the core banking upgrade.

• Develop detailed

  Test Plans, Test Strategies,

  and

  Test Cases

  (including positive, negative, boundary, and regression scenarios) focused specifically on loan products, workflows, calculations, and integrations.

• Test Execution & Analysis:

• Execute various types of testing, including

  Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing

  (specifically with the new core banking solution),

  User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support,

  and

  Performance Testing

  (where applicable).

• Focus on critical LOS components such as:
• Loan application data capture and validation.
• Credit decisioning logic and rules.
• Document generation and management.
• Calculation accuracy (APR, interest, payments, fees, etc.).
• Data flow between the LOS and the upgraded core banking solution.
• Identify, document, and report defects using the bank's designated

  bug tracking system

  , including clear steps to reproduce, severity, and priority.
• Work closely with development teams to verify fixes and perform re-testing.

• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and organized

  test artifacts

  (test cases, test results, defect reports).
• Provide regular, concise

  status reports

  on testing progress, defect metrics, and quality risks to the Project Manager and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:

• Minimum of

  2 years

  of experience in software testing, with a significant focus on

  Loan Origination Systems

  .

• Mandatory:

  Proven, hands-on experience testing and validating a

  Loan Origination System (LOS)

  or similar lending platform.

• Experience in Nucleus Finnone Neo and Newgen LOS system is highly desirable.

• Experience in Finacle Core Banking (preferably 10.2.25 version)

  is desirable.
• Experience working on

  system migration

  or

  core banking upgrade

  projects is desirable.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in designing and executing

  SQL queries

  for database validation and data integrity checks.
• Experience with

  API/Web Service testing

  (e.g., using Postman, SoapUI) for system integration points.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking

• Domain Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of the

  end-to-end loan lifecycle

  (application, underwriting, approval, closing, funding).
• Solid knowledge of various

  loan products

  (e.g., mortgages, personal loans, commercial loans).
• Understanding of

  banking data structures

  and key financial calculations.

• Soft Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction and defect documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
