Position: Senior Programmer Analyst/Programmer Analyst
Department: LabCorp Core Business Solutions, Specialty Systems IT
Responsibilities
The Individual in this role is responsible forunderstanding requirements, writing functional/technical specifications, estimating levels of effort, coding, and performing software analysis. Developing technical specifications includes Sequence Diagrams, Static Data Flow diagrams, Architecture design and corresponding documentation. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting the entire software development life cycle. Support responsibilities may include diagnosing/resolving user-reported issues and occasional after-hour on-call support.
RequiredSkills and Work Experience
A minimum of6 years experience developing applications for Windows Family of OS using Client Server or Web based architecture with a minimum of 5 years of VB 6 and VB.NET based application development.
Minimum 3 years experience software design and development experience with CAP compliant patient laboratory testing applications.
Enterprise Development: VB 6, .Net, XML, Web Services
Operating Systems: WindowsVisual Tools and Languages: Visual Basic 6.0, MS Visual Studio (VB .NET), PL/SQLData Access Technologies: ADO.Net, ADO, PL-SQL, T-SQLDatabase: SQL Server 2005/2000 or later, Sybase, DB2, Access, OracleModeling Tools: Visio, Design PatternsWeb Development: ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript, Active Server Pages(ASP)Web servers: Internet Information Server (IIS)Report writer: SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports
For Senior level positions:
Effective communication, team leadership and collaborations skills required to work with lab personnel and lab management, other members of the development team, broader collaboration with additional IT teams including database support, release management, business analysts, QA, operations and server teams.
