Senior Principal Investigator-Assay Biology TL

You will be designated as a Group Lead - Assay Biology based in Hyderabad, leading the assay biologists team in the Assay Biology unit at Syngene. Your role will involve providing scientific, operational, and strategic leadership, specifically focusing on projects related to therapeutic areas like oncology, inflammation/autoimmune disorders, and CNS. You will drive assays, develop assay platform strategies, support integrated drug discovery programs, and collaborate with other functional units within Biology and other departments. - Lead a team of scientists to meet project goals, quality, and timelines. - Motivate and develop scientific staff, including direct line management of project leads. - Mentor the team to optimize assays and establish robust high throughput assays. - Develop, implement, and validate new assays and platforms technologies. - Collaborate with partner teams, present biology plans, data, and achievements. - Contribute to the management and performance of the OU. - Ensure personal integrity, data integrity, compliance to quality and safety standards. - Provide scientific support to business development activities. - Develop effective environment, health, and safety practices. - Foster a corporate culture that promotes environment, health, and safety mindset. - PhD in Biochemistry, Cell Biology with Post-doctoral experience and >12 years of relevant industry experience. - Strong conceptual and technical expertise in drug discovery. - Experience in therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Autoimmune disorders, or CNS. - Technical experience in biochemical, biophysical, and cell-based assays. - Excellent communication skills, ability to manage larger teams, and experience in managing multiple projects. - Strong attention to experimental details, data quality, documentation, and work ethics.,
