Role Overview:
Lead the implementation of pricing solution, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Doing independent research, analyze, and present data as assigned
Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on general insurance actuarial projects for US markets
Critically examine and deep dive into models
Prepare detailed documentation for rate revision, rate review, pricing models, valuation reports and preparing presentations.
Preferably EMBLEM/ RADAR/ Earnix/ Predictive Modelling/ Python models/ GLMs and GBMs P&C GI & Healthcare background people can also apply
Assist in learning and development of new team members
Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pricing analysis and develop actuarial models to forecast potential risks and returns.
Collaborate with underwriting teams to establish pricing guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
Monitor and evaluate market trends to make informed pricing decisions.
Act as a subject matter expert, assisting the sales team to find the best use cases for any pricing modelling software.
Provide training and support to internal teams.
Recommend new features and improvements to the platform based on client feedback and industry trends
Experience in data extraction and data manipulation in Excel, R, Python, SAS
In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and multi-variate analysis
Personal and commercial lines general insurance pricing, reserving for US insurance markets
Knowledge of general insurance domain and P&C actuarial concepts is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences
Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 9 CT actuarial exams. SP8 is an added advantage.
7-10 years relevant experience, with good understanding of P&C actuarial concepts - pricing models
Exposure to US/UK/APAC general insurance market is preferable
Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge
Superior analytical and problem solving skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
