Senior Power Bi Developer

Role

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer with 7 to 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep technical expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and data modeling, along with experience leading BI projects and mentoring junior developers. You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to drive actionable insights and strategic reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Design and implement robust semantic models and tabular datasets using Power BI.
• Write complex DAX measures, KPIs, and calculations for enterprise-level reporting.
• Architect data models using star/snowflake schemas and optimize for performance.
• Integrate data from various sources including SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, REST APIs, and Excel.
• Ensure data governance, row-level security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with business users, data engineers, and product owners to gather requirements and deliver impactful BI solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices in BI and Power BI development.
• Oversee code reviews, performance tuning, and deployment strategies.
• Drive adoption of Power BI Service, data refresh scheduling, and access management.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering high-quality dashboards.

Mandatory Skills

• 7–10 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language).
• Strong experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience in data modeling, ETL, and data transformation.
• Familiarity with Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Lakehouse) is preferred.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Analysis Services, or SSAS Tabular models.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Understanding of cloud BI strategy and architecture.
