Senior Platform Product Manager

As a senior platform product manager, your primary responsibility will be to define and manage the core platform services and APIs that drive our technology ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with Platform Engineering and Software Development teams to create and unify foundational business APIs and services that promote consistency, scalability, and efficiency throughout the organization. Your role will be centered around standardizing platform capabilities, enhancing system interoperability, and ensuring that all teams can utilize common infrastructure services. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a robust technical background, a deep understanding of API design principles, and experience in formulating enterprise-wide platform strategies that minimize redundancy and streamline engineering efforts. Moreover, a comprehensive grasp of the Fintech, Healthcare, and related business domains, including industry regulations, operational workflows, and technology trends, is essential. Responsibilities - Define and implement the platform API strategy to ensure a cohesive and scalable approach across different teams. - Collaborate with Product Teams, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain foundational APIs that underpin critical business functions. - Roll out APIs that adhere to established governance and best practices, encompassing aspects like security, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management. - Engage with engineering teams to identify duplicated or fragmented business capabilities and drive standardization efforts. - Take ownership of the product roadmap for core platform services, guaranteeing alignment with both engineering and business objectives. - Create comprehensive API documentation, usage guidelines, and adoption strategies to foster cross-team consistency and operational efficiency. - Work in conjunction with stakeholders to prioritize platform enhancements, striking a balance between immediate requirements and long-term scalability. Critical Skills & Experience - Over 5 years of Product Management experience, with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or API-driven products. - Profound understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and API lifecycle management. - Capability to assess organizational priorities and capabilities while upholding a strategic mindset and a forward-looking product vision. - A technical background or hands-on experience in software development, DevOps, or infrastructure is highly advantageous. - Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, enabling you to translate technical hurdles into viable platform solutions. - Strong stakeholder management abilities, enabling seamless collaboration across engineering, security, compliance, and business teams. - Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and New Relic is a definite asset. - Prior experience with API management platforms like Kong, Apigee, or AWS API Gateway is considered a plus. - Proficiency in Data Models, SQL, and database fundamentals is also advantageous for this role.,
