Senior Planner

As a Senior Planner at the Central Transportation Planning Staff of the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), your role will involve overseeing the agency's public engagement practice area. You will collaborate with staff to develop and implement public engagement strategies, providing stakeholders with meaningful opportunities to participate in planning work and decision-making. Additionally, you will manage the Community Advisory Council to the MPO board, cultivate stakeholder relationships, and ensure the MPO's Public Engagement Plan aligns with best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement public engagement strategies and activities - Manage the administration of the Community Advisory Council - Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders - Keep the MPO's Public Engagement Plan up-to-date with best practices Qualifications Required: - Minimum seven years of professional experience in public engagement, transportation planning, urban or community planning, or related field - Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) - Master's degree in a related field can substitute for a portion of required experience - At least three years of professional experience in program or project management The compensation for this full-time position ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
