Role overview

We're looking for a reliable PHP Developer to join our backend team. You'll own features from design to deployment, optimize performance, and ensure code quality across services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP (Laravel / Symfony or similar).
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, QA, and product to deliver robust features.
• Write automated tests (unit/integration) and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor and optimize application performance and database queries.
• Assist with deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.

Must-have skills

• 2+ years professional experience in PHP development.
• Solid experience with a modern PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills (MySQL/Postgres) and schema design.
• Experience with RESTful API design and authentication (OAuth/JWT).
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Understanding of caching (Redis/Memcached), queues, and background jobs.
• Good debugging skills and attention to code quality and tests.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Exposure to real-time systems (WebSockets) or knowledge of WebRTC/Socket.io integrations.
• Frontend familiarity (Vue/React) for full-stack collaboration.
