Senior OT Scrub Nurse

As an Operating Theatre Technician, your role involves planning, preparing, and executing the work related to the OT. Your key responsibilities include: - Ensuring the sterility of the OT to maintain a safe surgical environment. - Making sure there is the availability of required medicines, instruments, and other necessities for surgeries. - Checking all consents in patient case files to inform surgeons about previous medical history, especially in critical surgeries or for elderly patients. - Assisting surgeons in major cases across all specialties. - Monitoring patient vitals and reporting them to doctors promptly. - Preparing medicine bills and maintaining records related to the OT. - Reporting day-to-day updates to the Nursing Incharge and maintaining monthly records of surgeries. - Managing the stock position of required medicines and surgical instruments in the OT. - Collecting specimens like tissues, blood, fluid, or sputum for further investigations in the laboratory. - Taking periodic cultures in the OT and maintaining reports. - Monitoring and ensuring the cleaning and sterilization processes. - Recording the maintenance of bio-medical instruments. - Documenting in nurses notes including pre, intra, and post-procedure details and patient status.
