Job Description:

Provide cross sector oversight of operational risk and control execution across Public Markets Private Markets and Credit
This is a controls leadership role not an operations delivery head or owner of CPP Investments risk appetite
10 years in investment operations controls operational risk audit quality or related first line control functions

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a consistent operational control framework control inventory and evidence standards across the three sectors
Monitor SLA KPI KRI trends exceptions incidents operational losses and recurring control failures
Coordinate incident governance root cause analysis corrective preventive actions and remediation tracking
Support RCSA and first line risk routines challenge control execution and identify opportunities for standardization or automation
Coordinate internal external audit walkthroughs sampled evidence SOC report reviews and management action plans
Track remediation owners target dates evidence and closure status escalate overdue or high risk items
Produce cross sector control reporting and facilitate governance reviews with delivery leads and CPP Investments
Ensure CPP Investments retains risk appetite risk acceptance policy interpretation fiduciary accountability and final approval authority

Technical Requirements:

Strong investment operations control knowledge spanning trade processing corporate actions collateral private credit accounting valuation support and data controls
Exposure to Data Fabric Tableau Excel SQL databases control repositories issue trackers and SOC audit documentation
Strong analytical challenge executive communication audit coordination and influence without assuming retained decision rights

Preferred Skills: Capital Market->Capital Market Operations
