Senior Officer, Water System (Plant Engineering)

As an Officer Water System, your role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining SRO/DRO water for injection (WFI) and clean steam systems in the injectable manufacturing unit of a pharmaceutical plant. Your responsibilities include: - Operate and monitor various water system utilities such as Raw Water Treatment, Softener, RO Plant, Purified Water Generation, WFI Generation, Storage & Distribution, and Clean Steam Generators. - Record critical parameters following SOPs and BMRs to ensure system efficiency. - Ensure continuous availability of water systems for injectable operations. - Carry out routine preventive maintenance and assist in troubleshooting breakdowns to minimize downtime. - Maintain logbooks, equipment qualification records, and calibration records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. - Participate in regulatory audits and inspections and support the execution and review of validation protocols of water systems. - Coordinate with QA/QC for sampling and analysis of water, taking corrective actions in case of deviations. - Suggest improvements in system efficiency, automation, and compliance, and participate in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation. Your technical skills should include a sound knowledge of water system equipment, understanding of GMP guidelines, and familiarity with SCADA and PLC systems. Soft skills such as attention to detail, good communication, teamwork, and a safety-conscious mindset are essential. Qualifications required for this role include a Diploma/BSc in any Engineering Field with a total experience of 5-8 years in the operation of water systems for sterile manufacturing plants.
