Full Time
1. Cares for infants transitioning to extra uterine life
2. Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patient
3. Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
4. Provide nutritional assessment & specialized feedings
5. Change dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs
6. Provide arterial & intravenous therapy
7. Monitor and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, such as incubators and ventilators and phototherapy
8. Prepare and administer and record prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
9. Monitor vital signs and initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology, communicates patients condition to care team
10. Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations
11. Instruct and educate patient’s family
12. Participate in discharge planning
13. Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner,
