Senior Node.js developer

As a Senior Node.js Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the core components of a next-generation AI First CRM workflow automation platform. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing backend components using Node.js and TypeScript for the visual workflow automation platform. - Developing a flexible workflow runtime engine capable of sequential, parallel, conditional, and human-in-loop execution. - Building a modular node/plugin architecture for API connectors, data operations, and logic functions. - Implementing a secure sandbox for executing user-defined code/functions. - Developing RESTful APIs and WebSocket interfaces for the workflow editor. - Integrating with databases such as MongoDB/Postgres for managing workflow persistence and execution logs. - Utilizing Redis/BullMQ for distributed workflow execution and queue management. - Ensuring high performance, fault tolerance, and scalability in multi-tenant environments. - Collaborating closely with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment. In terms of technical skills, you should possess: Core Skills: - Strong proficiency in Node.js & TypeScript, with a deep understanding of async/await, streams, events, and error handling. - Experience with Express.js/Fastify for backend API development. - Hands-on experience with database ORM frameworks like TypeORM, Prisma, Sequelize. - Strong understanding of workflow orchestration concepts including DAGs, triggers, and execution contexts. - Familiarity with Redis/BullMQ/RabbitMQ/Kafka for distributed task management. - Knowledge of sandboxing techniques such as vm, isolated process execution, or containers. - Experience in designing plugin systems and dynamic module loading. - Understanding of Webhooks, Schedulers, API Integrations (REST, OAuth2, WebSocket), and Docker/containerization for deployment. Bonus Skills: - Exposure to automation frameworks like n8n, Temporal.io, Airflow, etc. - Familiarity with frontend frameworks like ReactJS for workflow editors. - Understanding of AI/LLM integration into workflows and prior experience in building multi-tenant SaaS platforms. - Cloud experience in AWS/GCP/Azure. Soft Skills: - Excellent problem-solving and system design thinking. - Collaborative mindset working effectively with architects, DevOps, and product teams. - Self-driven to explore open-source projects and implement best practices. - Strong documentation and code quality discipline. You should have at least 4+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js and 1+ year of experience in building scalable, event-driven, or automation systems.
