Senior Network Developer

You will be supporting the design, deployment, and operations of a large-scale global Oracle cloud computing environment (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI). Your primary focus will be on the development and support of network fabric and systems, requiring a deep understanding of networking at the protocol level and programming skills to facilitate the automation needed for running a production environment. The OCI network is cloud-based with a global footprint, encompassing hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, all connected through a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet. Career Level - IC3 Your responsibilities will include participating in network lifecycle management by contributing to network build and upgrade projects. You will collaborate with program/project managers to establish milestones and deliverables, utilizing existing procedures and tools for network change execution. Additionally, you may need to develop new procedures as required. Acting as a technical lead for team projects, you will be involved in the development of roadmap issues, new runbooks, and method of procedures. Mentoring junior engineers, participating in network solution and architecture design processes, and taking responsibility for developing standalone features are also part of your role. You will be part of operational rotations, providing break-fix support for events, serving as an escalation point for event remediation, and leading post-event root cause analysis. You will coordinate with networking automation services for support tooling development and integration, frequently developing scripts to automate routine tasks for the team and business unit. Acting as a subject matter expert on software development projects for network automation, you will support network vendor software bug fixes and collaborate with network vendor technical account teams and internal Quality Assurance teams to drive bug resolution and assist in qualifying new firmware and/or operating systems.
