Senior MySQL DBA

Role Overview: As a MySQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for setting up, administering, and supporting MySQL database servers for Production, QA, and Development environments. Your role will involve designing database monitoring for performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, creating complex queries, indexes, stored procedures, and automating database tasks. Additionally, you will be required to proactively monitor database systems to ensure secure services with minimal downtime and lead and train junior DBAs. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement platform architectures to meet business requirements - Develop backup, restoration, and upgrade strategies for database servers - Build database tools and scripts for automation - Monitor database systems for performance and security - Conduct performance tuning and optimization - Configure MySQL/MariaDB Replication setup and administration - Collaborate with the team to provide 24x7 support - Possess excellent oral and written communication skills - Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with MySQL databases, including performance tuning - Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization - Experience with scripting languages - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment - MySQL Certification (optional but a plus) - Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts - Previous experience with large-scale, complex distributed web applications and high throughput applications is advantageous Additional Details: The company offers full-time, permanent employment with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund.
