Senior Mobile Engineer - React Native

As a Senior React Native Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Engineering Team, focusing on architecting and implementing new customer functionalities for our mobile application while also providing support for existing features. Joining a dynamic and collaborative team, your role is crucial in enhancing the mobile experience for our customers. Your expertise in mobile application development, particularly in Android and iOS, will be paramount in driving the company's expansion into new markets and verticals. Your responsibilities will include building complex mobile applications using reusable components, following React Native, Android, and iOS best practices. Leveraging REST APIs efficiently to process data in parallel, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in core JavaScript concepts like web workers, closures, and promises. Additionally, performance monitoring and debugging for React Native applications will be part of your routine tasks. Estimating effort and risks accurately before developing new features, reverse engineering existing codebases, and focusing on delivering high-quality solutions through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices are key aspects of your role. Converting pixel-perfect mockups into functional solutions, applying Redux best practices, and showcasing problem-solving skills are essential elements of your daily tasks. Within the initial 60 days, your objectives will include becoming well-versed in the mobile application's functionality and codebase, familiarizing yourself with the web application modules, completing the Sitetracker Engineering Development Plan, and actively participating as a consulted contributor in SCRUM teams. Moreover, you will be responsible for delivering bug fixes to enhance customer experience. By the 180-day mark, you will transition into a main contributor role for our mobile codebase, suggesting improvements for performance and scalability, engaging in architecting and design discussions to shape the application's future, providing valuable feedback through code reviews, and successfully deploying significant enhancements to customers. Within a year, you will be a pivotal reference point for the mobile application, aiding QA in resolving production issues, possessing a comprehensive understanding of the entire web platform, and leading junior engineers in developing new application modules.
