Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer with 10+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry, your role will involve supporting onshore and offshore EPC projects by planning and designing equipment handling, lifting, and access strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Develop mechanical handling and lifting studies for heavy and critical equipment such as compressors, vessels, and pumps. - Plan equipment access, routing, and removal strategies during layout and 3D model reviews. - Define maintenance handling requirements and collaborate with layout, structural, and construction teams. - Prepare handling equipment specifications and liaise with vendors and lifting specialists. - Ensure compliance with HSE, project specifications, and international standards like LOLER, ASME, and API. - Support constructability and maintainability reviews throughout project phases. - Provide technical expertise during site execution, lifting operations, and equipment installation. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical handling/lifting engineering for EPC oil & gas projects. - Strong understanding of handling equipment, lifting techniques, and access planning. - Proficiency in reviewing 3D models and layouts using tools like SmartPlant and Navisworks. - Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
