Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at our dynamic Research & Development team, your role will involve the end-to-end design process, from initial concept through to production. You should have a comprehensive background in mechanical design and engineering principles, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement cutting-edge products and solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Generate innovative mechanical designs that meet project specifications and performance criteria using CAD software like SolidWorks and SolidEdge - Conduct brainstorming sessions and design reviews to develop creative solutions to complex mechanical challenges - Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and identify potential challenges and mitigation strategies - Develop product specifications and requirements based on market research and stakeholder inputs - Create and maintain BOMs associated with engineering drawings - Work closely with manufacturing teams to develop production processes and identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction - Build physical prototypes using various techniques, oversee the fabrication process, and conduct thorough testing of prototypes to validate design concepts - Refine designs based on test feedback and performance data, and work on the integration of mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other subsystems - Identify opportunities for design improvements, develop detailed project plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for product launch preparation - Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and implement best practices in design processes and workflows - Stay current with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and related fields Qualifications Required: - Masters / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience Required: - Minimum of 4 years of experience Location: - Technopark, Thiruvanathapuram Skills Required: - Knowledge of Mechanical design, with a focus on theory and design aspects - Experience with 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or SolidEdge - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment If you join our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the field of mechanical design and engineering.
