Senior Manual Test Engineer - HW Focused

Role Overview: As a Software Test Engineer at our client's software development company in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop testing strategies for various aspects of software, particularly focusing on infotainment systems and navigation software. You will collaborate closely with the Product Owner, development team, and car manufacturers to create seamless user experiences for next-generation vehicles. Key Responsibilities: - Take ownership of the design and development of testing strategies for automotive software. - Collaborate with the Product Owner and development team to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios. - Design, execute, and maintain test scenarios to ensure software quality. - Create test plans specifically for in-car navigation app testing. - Set up test activities including test environment, processes, and methods within the project. - Report bugs effectively and work with hardware devices in the lab for testing. - Create and review test documentation, including requirements and software updates. - Perform daily testing on test benches in the lab and execute test plans based on priorities. - Support the engineering team by testing dev-drops and collaborate with car manufacturers or IVI system development team. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software testing, preferably in the automotive industry. - Experience testing HMI/navigation software is essential. - Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodology. - Proficient in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Familiarity with test management tools. - Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders.,
