Senior Manager Web Development

The role at Indian Institute of Art & Design (IIAD) and AND Academy based in New Delhi involves working as a full stack WordPress developer with a focus on web development, maintenance, security, and performance optimization. You will be responsible for developing, customizing, and updating webpages on the current WordPress website, as well as creating and launching new webpages and blog pages. Your duties will also include converting designs from PSD to various platforms like WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Static HTML, and CSS-JS, and identifying and resolving any technical errors on the website. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of work experience in web development and be proficient in WordPress, PHP, JS, and CSS. You must have extensive hands-on experience in website development, security, maintenance, and deployment to staging and production environments. Experience in page speed optimization, performance optimization, and the use of CDNs like Cloudflare is essential. Additionally, you should be able to create custom WordPress themes and plugins, work with Ajax and MySQL Database, and have a good understanding of front-end technologies such as CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery. Knowledge of code versioning tools like Git, BitBucket, and Github, as well as familiarity with SEO plugins like Yoast, will be beneficial. Additional skills in React development, JavaScript (Backend), and other backend and database technologies are also desired. Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills are essential for this role. You should also have excellent people and team management abilities and the capacity to coordinate effectively with other departments.
