Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Artificial Intelligence)

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Salesforce, you will be leading the Service Cloud AI development team within the Customer 360 organization. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Hiring, mentoring, and nurturing a high-performing team of software engineers and AI/ML specialists - Executing AI-powered capabilities for Service Cloud, from ideation to seamless delivery - Shaping technical strategy and influencing architecture decisions related to intelligent case resolution and automation - Guiding team members in their technical and career development through regular interactions and constructive feedback - Fostering a culture of innovation, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement - Managing project timelines, resources, trade-offs, and delivery risks for various initiatives - Delivering top-tier, highly scalable AI/ML systems for a global customer base - Spearheading experimentation with new algorithms, models, and intelligent automation frameworks - Encouraging and partaking in hands-on architecture design and code reviews Qualifications required for this role include: - At least 12 years of hands-on experience in implementing and scaling AI/ML systems in production environments - Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering management - Profound understanding of the complete ML lifecycle and large-scale web application development - Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like Java, Python, Go, or C++ - Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field Preferred qualifications include experience in constructing Generative AI systems, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test-driven development, and advanced education such as a Master's degree. Possessing a Scrum Master certification would be an added advantage.
