Job Description

The role involves managing the Quality Function to ensure that engineering specifications are met in the built quality of Products (vehicle/aggregates) and achieving targets for Quality deliverables like DIFTR/CPA effectively. Daily responsibilities include manning QA manpower as per production plan, monitoring End of Line Quality Gate fall out, conducting Rejection review meetings, analyzing rejection costs, monitoring customer and field complaints, preparing daily reports for MIS, and participating in 5F meetings for alarm escalation. To improve Build in Quality, the role requires monitoring in-process quality performance, implementing Standardised Inspection Process and NTWG, setting up ZDS stations (CTQ and Non CTQ), identifying and implementing Poka yoke for field failures, reviewing calibration equipment status, participating in 1/5/25 trout for 4M changes and ECNs, and resolving Quality Issues through ICA/PCA. QMS Implementation involves conducting layered audits, implementing ICA WCQ documentation & OFI closure, aligning processes with IATF requirements, checking CTQ and CTE parameters, monitoring process capability indices, and driving continual improvements through corrective actions. In terms of New Product Early Involvement, the role includes participation in 3P events, Kaizen, Process walk-throughs, station readiness, PFMEA, Process Planning, HLTO, and productionization of new products. People Development responsibilities encompass monitoring absenteeism, identifying training needs, implementing actions for SO compliance, compiling suggestions, participating in Kaizen, and resolving issues through Team Quality Circle (TQC). Stakeholder interactions involve collaborating with internal teams like Manufacturing, Next Quality Gates, SQ, TS, FMQ, and VQA, as well as external stakeholders such as Dealerships, External Calibration agencies, and ERC. The desired candidate should hold a B.E./B.Tech degree with 6 to 10 years of experience in the automobile industry, specifically in TCF/Paint shop/Weld shop/Power Train lines, with knowledge of standards, Quality systems like IATF 16949, WCQ, Problem Solving Techniques, Manufacturing Processes, TQM, TBEM, etc. Key skills and competencies required for this role include Quality Procedures and Practices, Manpower Planning & Shift Scheduling, Structured Problem Solving/Kaizen, Product & Process Knowledge, Knowledge of MS Office, and VAVE Cost reduction.,
