Senior Manager MEP

Job Description: You are an experienced Senior MEP Design Engineer with 15+ years of expertise, responsible for leading the design, planning, and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various projects. Your role involves ensuring that designs meet client specifications, local building codes, and international standards. You will work on large-scale projects focusing on the transportation sector in India and abroad. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. - Ensure designs comply with client specifications, local building codes, and international standards. - Provide guidance on design processes and technical challenges. - Collaborate with project managers and other professionals to define project requirements. - Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and specifications. - Coordinate the integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural disciplines. - Develop conceptual and detailed designs for HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire protection, and other MEP systems. - Perform system load calculations, energy analysis, and ensure compliance with sustainability standards. - Select equipment, materials, and systems, and prepare technical specifications. - Review vendor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design documents. - Prepare bidding BOQs and technical reports for regulatory approvals. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives for design efficiency. Client and Stakeholder Communication: - Engage with clients to understand their needs and translate them into functional MEP designs. - Provide regular project updates to clients and address any concerns or changes in design scope. - Assist with procurement and tendering processes for MEP components. - Obtain design approvals from clients and consultants. Required Qualifications and Skills: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - Experience: 15 years in MEP design, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in MEP design software, HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, design codes, and sustainability practices. - Project Management: Experience in managing complex projects, budget, and schedule. - Leadership: Ability to manage and mentor a team. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Attention to Detail: Precision in preparing design documents and technical specifications.
