Job Title: Senior Manager Maintenance

Experience: 15-22 Years

Role Summary:

The Senior Manager Maintenance will lead the maintenance function for the elevator and escalator assembly plant, ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and minimal downtime. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in elevator/escalator or heavy machinery manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Proven track record in managing safety compliance and audits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant machinery, tools, and assembly lines.
  • Ensure availability and reliability of equipment including hoisting systems, conveyors, welding stations, hydraulic presses, and testing rigs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment uptime.

2. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a safety-first culture across maintenance teams and ensure proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain documentation for statutory inspections, certifications, and equipment safety standards.

3. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Define roles, set performance goals, and conduct regular reviews.
  • Provide training and skill development programs focused on technical upgrades, safety, and compliance.

4. Budgeting & Resource Management

  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, including spare parts inventory, vendor contracts, and capital expenditures.
  • Optimize resource allocation and negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective procurement of tools and services.

5. Equipment Lifecycle & Asset Management

  • Maintain asset registers and ensure lifecycle tracking of critical equipment.
  • Plan for equipment upgrades, replacements, and technology integration to support production efficiency.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, quality, EHS, and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with operational goals.

Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and validation processes
