Role Overview

As a member of the Controllership Org, the Senior Manager will serve as a key Controllership Data Steward, responsible for bringing new data into the Finance data ecosystem, curating high-quality datasets, and leveraging modern technologiesincluding AIto enhance data insight capabilities. This role bridges Finance, Data Engineering, and Product teams to ensure that Snowflake datasets and Tableau solutions meet business needs, support strategic decision-making, and enable scalable, high-quality reporting. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and business-savvy, with an innovative mindset and the ability to develop tailored analytical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Stewardship & Governance

• Act as the Finance Data Steward for curated datasets, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with governance and control requirements.
• Maintain metadata, lineage, and definitions to ensure consistent data usage across Finance and cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Data Governance teams to enforce data quality rules and remediate issues.
  

Data Ingestion, Modeling & Curation

• Lead the intake and onboarding of new Finance data sources into Snowflake.
• Design and curate robust data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational Finance processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure efficient and scalable pipelines.
  

Insight Enablement & AI Innovation

• Leverage AI and advanced analytical methods to improve Finance insights and automate data exploration.
• Develop innovative, ad-hoc Snowflake and Tableau solutions that provide deep analytical value to Finance stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate emerging tools and techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Data Engineering and Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Partner with Finance, Controllership, FP&A, and operational teams to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  

Operational & Strategic Support

• Support the development of dashboards, KPI metrics, and analytical datasets for recurring and ad-hoc reporting.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines, visualizations, and data models.
• Drive continuous improvement in Finance's data processes, standards, and insight delivery.
  

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Finance data management, data analytics, or data stewardship.
• Solid understanding of Finance processes, accounting flows, and financial reporting.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and modern data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency with Tableau (desktop and prep) and experience building scalable dashboards and datasets.
• Experience working with data engineers and product managers in an agile or hybrid environment.
• Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to design tailored technical solutions.
• Experience leveraging AI/ML tools to enhance analytics or automate insights is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
