Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering, Cloud AI & Backing Services

As a member of the Pega Cloud team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our Pega Cloud SaaS and PaaS customers by building highly scalable cutting-edge Cloud Services. Your responsibilities will include building out Pega Clouds GenAI capabilities and ensuring the manageability of core backing services like Kafka, MongoDB, and OpenSearch. You will act as the bridge between Pega Platform and the Cloud it operates on. At Pega, you will provide leadership to engineering teams in developing Cloud Services that adhere to established software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality standards. You will work globally to shape the strategic vision for the functional area and implement processes to bring that vision to life. Additionally, you will mentor and evaluate the engineering team, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure work meets quality standards, provide technical guidance, and drive innovation towards engineering excellence. Qualifications: - 4-7 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company, with 3+ years as a technical lead or manager - Bachelors degree in engineering or similar field - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design - Knowledge of Go, Java or similar languages - Experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology - Experience with DevOps automation tools, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies - Excellent command of English Preferred, but not required qualifications include knowledge of Cloud Operations practices, Microservices, Stateless Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and experience aligning implementation with business goals.
