Senior Mainframe Developer

NTT DATA is looking for a COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM - Senior Mainframe Developer (BRT) to join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. As a Senior Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for software development with large mainframe-based systems. You should have solid hands-on development skills in mainframe languages and technologies such as Cobol, CICS, VSAM, JCL, utilities, FileAid, Endevor, debuggers, schedulers, etc. Additionally, proficiency in the DB2 database management system and database processing concepts is required. Knowledge of native stored procedures is considered a plus. You will be expected to deploy and support software releases into production environments and have a strong understanding of the overall testing process. Collaborating with business partners to define requirements and solutions, providing estimates and scoping for proposed projects, and performing detailed analysis for maintenance and enhancement projects, both batch and online, are key responsibilities of this role. Good to have skills include knowledge of Micro-Services Architecture concepts, emerging patterns such as APIs, Web Services (REST/SOAP), cloud computing, and/or Java programming. To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant key skills. In addition, you should have good communication skills, be willing to work in a 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM shift and be flexible to work at client locations in Bangalore. The role requires you to work from the office in a hybrid work environment, with full remote work not being an option. The expectation is for a full return to the office by 2025.
