Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the junior college curriculum.
Develop lesson plans that effectively utilize the full duration of the class.
Teach students English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
Instruct students on the structure and usage of the English language, including syntax, semantics, and phonetics.
Guide students in analyzing literature, poetry, and various forms of written and spoken media.
Encourage critical thinking and help students question and analyze media content, advertisements, and news reports.
Foster a positive, interactive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
Assess students progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare students for academic assessments and competitive exams.
Participate in academic planning, department meetings, and faculty development programs.
Mentor and support students in academic and career goals.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Stay updated with the latest trends in English literature, language instruction, and educational technology.

Preferred candidate profile:

Masters Ders Degree (M.A.) in English Literature
B.Ed. or M.Ed. qualification is desirable
Preferably Male Candidates who can Join immediately

Experience:

6 to 10 years of teaching experience at the intermediate / junior college level.
