Senior Lead Engineer Backend

As a Senior Lead Engineer at REA Group, you will be part of the Property Data Falcon team in PropTrack, managing and enhancing core property data services such as the Property Data API Suite. Your responsibilities will include deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of APIs, enhancing API observability and monitoring, incident management, and data processing tasks with diligence in data verification. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams globally to design, develop, and optimize features ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions for exceptional user experiences. You will lead or significantly contribute to strategic initiatives, solve complex technical problems, provide technical mentoring, and drive continuous improvement of production systems. Key Responsibilities: - Writing, testing, and documenting code according to REA Engineering standards - Leading initiatives with strategic focus and value - Solving complex technical problems to enable team learning and extension - Supporting the Engineering Manager in setting technical direction - Mentoring and guiding less experienced team members - Driving continuous improvement of production systems - Designing high-quality solutions for user needs Qualifications Required: - Advanced skills in scalable solution design - Experience in developing long-term system architecture strategies - Proficiency in modern software development techniques - Effective communication and collaboration with business stakeholders - Understanding of business, customer, and consumer needs for data solutions - Passion for data and latest data technologies - Awareness of TDD, CI/CD approaches and tools - Proficiency in SQL and Python - Experience with databases, data platforms, and DBT - Experience with Big Query Additional Details: REA Group is a market leader in online real estate across three continents, fostering innovation and curiosity to reimagine the future.
