Senior Lab Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Lab Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the telecommunications lab, including scheduling experiments, managing lab resources, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards specific to Rohde & Schwarz guidelines.
• Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate the maintenance, calibration, and repair of lab equipment and tools related to LTE, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signalling. Ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally and is aligned with the latest technological advancements.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of lab supplies and equipment. Order new supplies as needed and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials critical to our operations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for lab procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines. Prepare regular reports on lab activities, equipment status, and project progress for internal stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with engineers, and other stakeholders to support ongoing projects and initiatives. Assist in the planning and execution of experiments and testing activities, particularly those related to LTE, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technologies.
• Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the lab budget. Monitor expenditures &ensure that the lab operate within budgetary constraints while maximizing resource efficiency.
• Training and Development: Provide training and support to lab personnel on equipment usage, safety protocols, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the lab environment.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all lab activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe working environment

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
• 10+ Proven experience in a laboratory or technical environment, preferably within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on LTE, 5G-NR, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signaling.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in laboratory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of RF measurement test products and telecommunications technologies, particularly those relevant to Rohde & Schwarz offerings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the telecommunications industry.
2. Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is a plus
