Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at Wells Fargo, you will play a crucial role in leading moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments. Your responsibilities will include contributing to large-scale planning of strategies, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects and programs associated with the technology domain. You will review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges, while leading a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs. Additionally, you will collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals. Furthermore, you will lead projects, act as an escalation point, provide guidance, and direction to less experienced staff. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments - Contribute to large scale planning of strategies - Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments - Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures - Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements - Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals - Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff **Qualifications Required:** - 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal candidate for this role would have the following desired qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred - Extensive experience and proven track record in leading projects involving Java Spring Boot, Microservices, Rest API's, Drools, Authentication, Authorization, SSO, and JBPM task management - Expertise in BPM concepts, methodologies, and architectural patterns, with a deep understanding of workflow orchestration and process automation - Proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks, with strong object-oriented design skills and architectural principles - Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices design principles, with hands-on experience in building scalable and resilient distributed systems - Strong understanding of async service to service communication using Kafka, with hands-on experience in building scalable and resilient distributed systems - Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex technical challenges - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively and interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels - Prior experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies, with a focus on delivering iterative and incremental value to stakeholders - Strong commitment to quality, with a keen eye for detail and a drive for continuous improvement in software development practices and processes If you are seeking a challenging role where you can utilize your skills in building scalable, high-performance systems using Spring Boot, Kafka, and event-driven design, this Senior Software Engineer position at Wells Fargo is the perfect opportunity for you.
