Senior Java Developer

Your responsibilities include:

You will play a key architectural role across all our development activities, including:

• Hands on leading a Team of Java Developers
• Application hosting on compute services such as Azure App Service and Azure Functions.
• Messaging via Azure Service Bus.
• Security refactoring (e.g., moving to modern authn/authz protocols such as OIDC & OAuth2 with Azure AD and/or Okta; possible usage of Cloudflare).
• Database migration (primarily from Oracle to PostgreSQL; Azure SQL and CosmosDB may also be used in some cases).
• ETL process migration to Azure Logic Apps and/or Azure Data Factory.
• Establishment of DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines for build & deployment, application monitoring, etc.

About you

• You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in agile software engineering
• You have 3+ years of Cloud technology experience
• Very strong in Java and Spring (Spring Boot 2 is plus), Hibernate, Hazlecast
• Strong in Restful service development
• Experience working in JPA/Hibernate or other ORM technology
• Experience working in Sql or Pl/Sql (NoSQL is plus)
• Experience working in Maven
• Experience working in continuous integration tools like Bamboo or Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of reusable object-oriented software design patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Well-experienced in Agile SCRUM methodologies
• Experience working in Java Script technology like Angular or React etc.
• Experienced in working with a diverse multi-locational team of internal and external professionals
• Proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Exposure to latest design methodology such as DDD (Domain Driven Design) and hands on working experience with distributed computing system using event sourcing, asynchronous messaging as communication channel is a big plus.
• Experience working in a Cloud environment such as Cloud Foundry, Azure, or AWS is a big plus
