Senior Java Developer

As a highly talented and dedicated Java Developer, you will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing development environment. Your role as a Java Developer will make you an integral member of the Build Team, responsible for building and maintaining applications for our clients. Your key duties and responsibilities will include engaging with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand the product and user requirements of the solutions being created. You will be expected to generate appropriate design documents and other forms of documentation to clearly represent the solution being developed. Working alongside a team of senior developers, your contributions to existing Java MicroServices, design, architecture input, and code reviews will be highly valued. Showing initiative in improving the application and up-skilling as required will be essential in this team-focused Agile environment where continuous improvement and partnership are prioritized. To excel in this role, you must possess the following skills and experience: - Strong Java development experience of 5+ years - Highly proficient with technologies such as Spring, SpringBoot, Kafka, RDS, NoSQL (MongoDb), and Java EE, particularly Java8 - Hands-on design, development, integration, and deployment experience in enterprise applications for over 5 years - Essential API and development experience using Open API (Swagger, RESTful, JSON) - Experience with AWS services such as ECS Container, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, Lambda, Serverless, and Cloudwatch - IOT experience is preferable - Ability to troubleshoot complex API flows in the AWS environment - Proficiency in creating Sequence flows and UML diagrams - Developing and deploying APIs and Microservices using common development frameworks like Springboot - Strong knowledge and experience of Integration/Microservices design patterns - Experience in TDD and BDD using Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, RestAssured, and Karate - Understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices using tools like Gradle, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab, and GitHub - A team player with a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills Successful candidates may be required to undergo background and substance screening as part of the selection process.,
