Senior Java Developer - AVP

The role of Applications Development involves utilizing Core Java (multithreading/concurrency/collections/transaction management), Springboot, basic Database concepts (RDBMS), Cloud concepts, with additional beneficial knowledge in Kafka/Mongo. The primary responsibility is to implement new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will be expected to: - Utilize your knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge of technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code. - Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and provide programming solutions. - Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications. - Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, conduct testing and debugging. - Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. - Identify problems, analyze information, make evaluative judgments, recommend and implement solutions. - Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents. - Operate with a limited level of direct supervision, exercise independence of judgment and autonomy. - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. - Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation, and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing control issues with transparency. Qualifications for this role include: - Intermediate-level experience in Applications Development. - Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
