Senior IT Solutions Engineer

As a Senior IT Engineer at Illumina, you will be part of the GIS Data and AI team, contributing to the management and support of various collaboration platforms and custom applications used across the organization. Your role will involve a mix of functional and technical responsibilities, including business process analysis, application configuration, integrations, end user support, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. Responsibilities: - Collaborate within Agile scrum teams to design, implement, and test solutions for Automation, AI, and Custom Apps - Deliver software architecture, designs, and implementations - Participate in agile development processes from sprint planning to daily scrum meetings and sprint demos - Create and execute unit tests, troubleshoot and resolve software defects - Contribute to software design and code reviews - Manage and support both SAAS and custom applications to maintain high availability services for users - Handle internal ticket escalations and provide general to complex technology support - Independently debug and resolve complex application issues - Monitor user forums and provide best practice guidance - Manage application functionality updates, integrations, configurations, releases, and security settings - Onboard/offboard user licenses for select applications - Work on sustaining issues, enhancements, and projects - Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures for best practices across the team's portfolio - Collaborate with IT resources for application services strategy, design, operation, and improvement Required Educational Background: - Bachelor's / master's degree in computer science or engineering Requirements: - 5-7 years of experience with hands-on application support, administration, configurations, integrations, and project work - Full stack developer experience using Microsoft Power Apps, UIPath, Drupal, Asana - Experience with AI / Gen AI applications is a plus - Strong technical experience in application administration and configuration for on-premise and cloud services - Ability to work in a fast-paced, global corporate environment, managing expectations and prioritizing efforts - Willingness to learn new technology and processes - Analytical skills to propose solutions for technical and data problems - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Database experience with SQL Server, Mongo, HANA, MySQL is a plus - Familiarity with O365 suite including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, Azure, etc is a plus - API and scripting experience is a plus - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - Change control experience in an FDA regulated environment All the listed responsibilities and requirements are considered essential functions for this position at Illumina, with the potential for accommodations based on business conditions.,
