Senior Interior Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail. Create innovative and tailored design concepts that align with the client's vision and brand identity.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the design process. Ensure client requirements are accurately captured, provide design solutions, and maintain strong relationships to secure repeat business.
• Oversee the execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards. Coordinate with other project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and consultants.
• Develop detailed design documentation, including mood boards, layouts, finishes, color schemes, furniture selection, and lighting design. Create 3D models, sketches, and renderings to communicate design concepts.
• Work closely with architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration of interior design with architectural concepts. Address technical challenges and provide design solutions in collaboration with the team.
• Ensure design integrity and quality through all stages of project delivery. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure designs are implemented according to specifications.
• Mentor junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities. Foster a creative and collaborative team environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and sustainability practices. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, manage procurement processes, and negotiate contracts to ensure timely delivery and cost control.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or masters degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.

• At least 7 years of professional experience as a Senior Interior Designer, with a proven track record of working on large-scale, complex projects in the UAE or GCC region.

• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of completed interior design projects, demonstrating creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and a variety of design styles.

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools. Knowledge of MS Office Suite is required.

• Experience in managing projects, including coordinating design teams, liaising with clients and contractors, and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.

• Familiarity with the building codes, regulations, and design standards specific to the UAE/GCC region.

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding and developing junior designers.
