Senior Incident Response Specialist

As an Incident Response Specialist at Agoda, you will play a crucial role in monitoring threats targeting Agoda, preventing attacks, and strategizing to lead incident engagements. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end handling of critical, high, and medium cyber security incidents, drafting incident reports, communicating incident summaries, and writing playbooks for various cyber security incidents. You will also automate repetitive tasks using automation platforms or programming, optimize existing security controls, gather threat intelligence, support legal and regulatory teams, evaluate new technologies, and drive Proof of Concepts for new security products. To succeed in this role, you will need: - 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security, particularly in the Incident Response field and working with 24/7 SOC teams - Strong understanding of NIST, CSF, MITRE, and other cyber security frameworks - Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python or C++) for automating incident response tasks and developing custom security tools - Ability to write and tune detection rules in different security platforms - Hands-on experience in dealing with major security incidents - Automation skills using automation platforms or programming - Malware analysis and digital forensics experience is a plus - Certification in Cyber Security, Forensic, and Incident Response (CISSP, ECSA, GISP, GCIH, GCFE, GCFA) - Flexibility, adaptability, and excellent multitasking skills - Very good communication skills in English (both oral and written) Additionally, Agoda offers a relocation package to Bangkok, Thailand, and benefits including a Hybrid Working Model, WFH Set Up Allowance, 30 Days of Remote Working globally every year, employee discounts for accommodation, global team diversity, annual CSR/Volunteer Time off, subscriptions for employee donations, volunteering opportunities, and more.
