We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Guidewire Portal Developer
with extensive experience in developing and customizing Guidewire portals for the insurance industry. This role is ideal for a developer with 7+ years of experience in Guidewire development, particularly in configuring and customizing Guidewire Portal for Policyholders, Agents, and other external users. The ideal candidate will have client-facing experience or accelerator experience and be able to deliver high-quality portal solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure Guidewire portals (Policyholder, Agent, and other user-facing portals) to support the needs of the insurance business.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into portal solutions.
- Customize and extend Guidewire Portal functionalities, including user interfaces, workflows, business rules, and integration with Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Perform system integration, ensuring seamless communication between Guidewire portals and back-office systems.
- Lead the development and optimization of portal performance to provide smooth user experiences, high availability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex portal-related issues in both development and production environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines.
- Participate in Agile development processes, ensuring timely delivery of portal functionalities in iterative cycles.
- Engage with clients directly to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver solutions aligned with their requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest Guidewire releases and industry trends, continuously improving portal functionalities and user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Guidewire development, with a strong focus on developing and configuring Guidewire portals.
- Certification: Ace Certified Guidewire (or equivalent certification).
- Proven experience with Guidewire Portal, including Policyholder Portal, Agent Portal, or similar Guidewire front-end solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire products (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) and integration with Guidewire portals.
- Proficiency in GOSU programming language, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and web services (SOAP/REST).
- Strong understanding of web technologies and frameworks such as Angular, React, or similar front-end technologies.
- Experience with backend integrations, including APIs, web services, and databases.
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to understand business requirements, provide technical solutions, and manage client expectations.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, and experience working in Agile teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
