Senior GIS Engineer

As a Senior PLS-CADD Engineer with expertise in LiDAR data integration and PLS-CADD modeling, your role will involve building accurate and detailed models of transmission lines, towers, and associated infrastructure based on the PLS-CADD 7.0 specifications. Your strong technical background in power transmission line design will be instrumental in transforming data into optimized models that support the overall transmission line design and analysis processes. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize PLS-CADD 7.0 specifications to develop accurate models of transmission lines, towers, and associated infrastructure using pre-classified LiDAR point cloud data or similar data. - Perform structural and electrical analysis on PLS-CADD models to ensure compliance with design standards and project requirements, including load conditions, environmental factors, and design optimization. - Communicate technical design details to clients, incorporate client specifications and feedback into the models, and address any questions or concerns. - Prepare detailed documentation, reports, design assumptions, calculations, and methodologies used for processing and integrating LiDAR data into PLS-CADD models. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and designers on integrating LiDAR data into PLS-CADD models, promoting best practices for data classification and modeling. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelors degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in power transmission line design using PLS-CADD. - Hands-on experience in building PLS-CADD models from pre-classified LiDAR point cloud data or similar data. - Strong knowledge of PLS-CADD 7.0 specifications and workflows, and proficiency in using PLS-Tower and PLS-Pole for transmission line modeling.
