Senior GIS Engineer

You are an experienced Senior PLS-CADD Engineer with expertise in LiDAR data integration and PLS-CADD modeling. Your primary responsibility will be to develop PLS-CADD models from classified LiDAR point cloud data or similar data based on the PLS-CADD 7.0 specifications. You will leverage your strong technical background in power transmission line design to create detailed, accurate, and optimized PLS-CADD models that support the overall transmission line design and analysis processes. Your key responsibilities include: - Utilizing PLS-CADD 7.0 specifications to build accurate and detailed models of transmission lines, towers, and associated infrastructure using pre-classified LiDAR point cloud data or similar data. - Performing structural and electrical analysis on PLS-CADD models to ensure compliance with design standards and project requirements, including load conditions, environmental factors, and design optimization. - Communicating technical design details to clients, addressing questions, and incorporating client specifications and feedback into the models. - Preparing detailed documentation, including reports, design assumptions, calculations, and the methodology used to process and integrate LiDAR data into PLS-CADD models. - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers in the integration of LiDAR data into PLS-CADD models, promoting best practices for data classification and modeling. You should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in power transmission line design using PLS-CADD. Hands-on experience in building PLS-CADD models from pre-classified LiDAR point cloud data or similar data. - Strong knowledge of PLS-CADD 7.0 specifications and workflows, and proficiency in using PLS-Tower and PLS-Pole for transmission line modeling.,
